As our kids get older, we are moving away from some of our long standing traditions as they aren't totally age appropriate anymore- our kids are growing up! So when asking our kids what we could do for something special on Good Friday, they wanted to make cookies from scratch. Well, two of them wanted to make cookies, the oldest one was only interested in eating them. So we gathered supplies, bought a new rolling pin and cooling racks and off to the kitchen we headed. We had so much fun! Here is a preview of our cookie baking day. The pictures at the very end are of Anna dyeing Easter eggs. She was the only one interested in this activity but she still had fun with it. And we enjoyed eating some of those pretty eggs on today's hike, another long standing tradition that we can enjoy for years to come!
