Family Photos!

It's not very often that I am on the other side of the camera having family photos. I asked my dad if he would be so kind to do our family photos this year. We worked together as a team. I posed us, he took the picture, and then I did the editing. It worked really great and my dad got us some great pictures! I really love them! We did them at Tempe Beach Park. They had this broken down semi truck so we hopped in the back and enjoyed some fun pictures with it as the backdrop.

Our three blessings

On this Thanksgiving morning, I had a little photo shoot with our kiddos. I just went out our back gate into the baseball field and found some great backdrops. It was so much fun! And I LOVE these pictures.

glow in the dark glitter cast

I bet if you broke your arm, you would want one of these wouldn't you? I know I would. Anna had her orthopedic appointment yesterday and after examining the X-rays the doctor said she "did a number on her arm." She broke her wrist and her elbow. The treatment is to wear this cast for 3 weeks, she will go back in for more x-rays and then most likely get a shorter cast to let the wrist heal. They only like to leave elbows in the cast for 3 weeks. Anna loves her new cast and is finally catching up on some much needed sleep. That makes a mommy happy. :)

A tale of two owies

There once was a boy and a girl. The boy was 10 and the girl was 6. One day the boy was going down a big slide and came to a crashing hault at the bottom hurting his right foot. He had to go the doctor and get a special boot to wear so the ligament in his foot could heal. Three weeks later the boy's sister was climbing up on the top bunk to tell the boy goodnight when she had a terrible fall and landed on her right arm. She then had to go to the doctor where she was given a special cast to wear on her arm because of two broken bones in her wrist and elbow. It was a sad time for the boy and girl and wearing a cast is no fun at all. Their mom and dad heard lots of complaining, bless their hearts for taking care of the boy and girl. The boy can't run or jump and be wild while on his feet and the girl can't write, draw, or color or be wild and crazy like she usually is. So the boy and girl are enjoying hanging out with each other while their owies heal while mom and dad pray this time goes by really fast so they can get back to their old ways, minus the crazy and dangerous stuff.

Old West Days

The kids and I met up with our friends in downtown Mesa yesterday for Old West Days. We had such a fun time! I'll let the pictures do the talking.
