San Diego Zoo

On our first full day in San Diego we went to the Zoo. It was fantastic. My favorite zoo by far. This guy greeted us upon our arrival. 

 Ever wonder what the back of a peacock looks like, not nearly as fancy as the front. When we left the zoo, this guy was roaming the parking lot. He must have free reign to go wherever he wants.

 The highlight of our zoo day was seeing this elephant getting a pedicure. So cool!

 These love birds have been together for 25 years!

Beach trip- day 1

Two years. It's been two years since the 5 of us have been on a family vacation out of the state of Arizona. We were way overdue for a family vacation so this one was much anticipated. We arrived at Mission Beach around 3 p.m. It was a windy and chilly day but we didn't care- we are from Arizona and are suckers for cooler weather. After getting unpacked into our rented beach house, we headed to the beach. It's been 7 years since our boys have stepped foot on the California coast and it was a first for Anna. I loved capturing their excitement when they saw the ocean. 

 Our beach house is a few steps away from the bay and a very short walk from the ocean. We love the location of where we will be staying for the week!

First long swim of the season!

The kids have been dying to swim, they are counting down the days until they can spend time in the pool without being covered in goose bumps. With triple temps this weekend, they spent a ton of time swimming. It was so fun to watch them enjoying each other and not fighting. I took a ton of pictures, I loved all the action shots I captured. So I apolagize for the overwhelming amount of pictures, but I did narrow it down from several others. :)

Water balloons or is it water wars?

Summer is upon us and the kids are spending a ton of time outside getting wet. It's been so fun! Here is what they did over the weekend!
