Remember my post on reverse Lent? Well, we completed our 40 day challenge of praying a blessing a day over each of our children. We recorded these blessings on a piece of paper and then framed them in these cute little frames. I added some ribbon to the outside of a plain white frame. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. We will give these to our kids on Easter and then hang them in their bedrooms. It was such a great experience for Michael and I, something we will certainly do again.
I wanted to make sure that it wasn't just my handwriting our kids saw, but their daddy's too. Some nights we wrote the blessing late and night so we got a good laugh at some of the mistakes we made. We noticed Michael's "selfless" blessing ended up being written and "shelfless" on each one. Neither of us noticed it until today.
Psalm 68:3
But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.

catching up!
Where have I been you ask? Or maybe you don't? I'm still not sure I really have any blog readers. But for those of you who might be readers of my blog, I have been slacking big time. I need a chunk of time to sit down and update you all on the happenings of the Ray family. But it will have to wait. I have kids waiting to go play at the park and a husband who is taking me on a hot date tonight. But here's a quick glance at what we have been up to:
There was a marriage in our home. Pink Hearts and Brown Bear got married and had Purple Bear. Don't they make a sweet looking family.
There are days where I wish I could be a dog. And do this all day and not have a worry in the world.
We did some spring cleaning outside.
And welcomed the sun on our faces, welcome spring!
Tried some new recipes, yummy! A brazilian dish that was served over a bed of rice.
We had a hail storm and it left these little droppings. Even a yellow one, or is that a bb?
We've been doing some Easter related crafts. Each kid chose a name for God and Anna picked Horn of Salvation. Camden picked Judge and Jadon picked The Vine.
This handsome fellow drained our pool, acid washed it, and did some maintenence on it. It's now filled and looking so pretty.
And I felt bad about filling our pool with cleaner water than people in African and other third world countries have to drink.
I bought myself these flowers at Trader Joes for $1.29. I love yellow.
The kids made these candles out of clementines.
I've become a soccer mom!
And a clown with a big butt. And it looks like I'm married to a man wearing a white sheet.
Anna learned about Leonardo Da Vinci and recreated the Last Supper.
And she thought Jesus deserved a better meal than his disciples so he got a special golden plate with some expensive fish and bread. Oh, and by the way that's doubting Thomas to Jesus' left, and that's his pointer finger. What were you thinking????
And that's a glimpse into my life!
Now if I could just do this more often...
But a park is calling my kids names and a husband will be home from work in less than an hour to take me on a hot date.....

Oh camera, do I miss thee?
I'm not sure what's going on with me and my camera. We just haven't been spending much time together lately. I can't figure out if I'm still worn out from a busy season with KandidsbyKorri or if I'm just simply bored with photography. I'm sort of having a "what do I really want to do with my photography" moment. I have some things to figure out for KandidsbyKorri and where I want to take it in 2012. I've got to have a serious talk with myself and ask some tough questions and make some goals. It just seems like I haven't even had the time to even go there, so I'm left where I started- I'm not sure what's going on with me and my camera? Let's hope I'm not just bored because that would not be good. But the other night I heard a faint whisper from my camera, it was calling my name. I picked it up and off we went to the field to get some fun action shots of the kids. Camden was a great sport and made for some fun photos. And the last one on this post might be one of my all time favorite pictures of Anna. Her personality shines through loud and clear. Maybe my camera and I are having a spring fling? Let's hope so, because I would hate to hurt it's feelings.
Just a fun pattern on a tree.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of Anna. It's as if she is singing to the heavens and I love her asian eyes. She melts my heart.

Park fun
We met up with some friends at the park after church on Sunday. I only took a few pictures before our friends arrived and then never got my camera back out. Sometimes being social is more important than having my camera stuck to my face. :) I love how some of these turned out.
Presidential debate
I was pretty excited when I heard that the presidential debate would be held here in Mesa. We took a field trip Wednesday morning with the kiddos to check out the set up. Michael and I went back by ourselves later in the day. It was really neat and I enjoyed it a lot.
